About the Association
The Cavite Librarians Association, Inc. is the professional body for librarians and information professionals of the province of Cavite and a Chapter Member of the PLAI-Southern Tagalog Region Librarians Council.
The Association was founded in 1981 and was so-named as Cavite Library Association (CLASS) then was changed to Cavite Librarians Association. Through the years, the Association’s activities were carried out through the member’s and officer’s cooperation and most all, through the concerted efforts of the founding members.
It was only in November 2005 that the Association was finally revived. CLASS was registered as non-stock, non-profit corporation on May 19, 2006 per Securities and Exchange Commission Registry Number CN200607815.
